Wallbank and variants are comparatively rare in the US. It is estimated from telephone directories that there are fewer than 150 individuals and these have predominantly the name WALLBANK (about 100) with WELLBANK (about 30) the only other variant in significant numbers. However the Surname Profiler ( http://www.spatial-literacy.org ) estimates that the frequency of Wallbank is about 300 with the highest concentration in Massachusetts .
